Replydon't see any reason not to be in favor of this. you have to produce photo id for a visit to doctor or hosp (i always wonder why someone would cheat on some some of the distasteful procedures). perhaps the law should be amended to be able to use this card as an acceptable id anywhere in the commonwealth. above and beyond--it is protection for all political parties. it is that or get ink on your finger.

Replyi thought it was about equality--spreading the wealth evenly. well, start w/all govt employees, including congress and the executive branch coming under the same furlough restrictions. then follow it up w/congress giving up pensions and paying into social security (like the rest of us plain folks), and then term limits.

Replyanybody remember when non marrieds living together was a huge no-no? why not lead the way, virginia--make it a legal UNION w/all the rights and privileges of marriage and call it a day. within a matter of a short time, no one will care about the status of living together. (as sarah said--they are paying the same taxes and obeying the same laws). i've seen several examples of gay couples adopting children and it has worked out very, very well. want to see some of those adoptees forgotten rather than becoming productive citizens? with all the other problems facing us today, why all the bouhaha. accept it and move on.

Replyread the paragraph--the largest employers have rules in place. you got laws on your laws. enough! and i note the hurry to blame those with common sense. do you really think any business is going to hire and fire knowing the costs of today's law suits?

On the article 'Tebow Bill' May Let Home-Schoolers Try Out for Public School Sports Teams

Replywhy would you exclude this group? team sports appear to be a great way for children to learn the value of cooperation. if a home schooler is better than one who isn't, it is wrong to deny him that opportunity particularly in view of the fact that EQUAL taxes are being paid. competition isn't all bad--it means you have to try harder or find something else and this continues through out a lifetime. good for ms comstock.

should be an interesting series--particularly these days when savings is the last thing people do. bet a pattern of behavior will be seen in the series--cutting almost almost all personal luxuries, waiting for purchases, because the spending starts after the first chunk is taken off. note this woman has no dependents.
