On the article Welcome to McLean Patch

ReplyI used to receive the McLean Patch in a daily email but that ceased some time ago. I have tried several times to resubscribe and have made sure that mcleanpatch.com is white-listed in my spam filters. I would add it to my Contacts but I'm not sure what to put for the email address. Can you help me there? Maybe send me an email from the address used in the newsletter?

ReplyAn hour or more before the polls close you have removed all the candidates' resumes from the site. I was about to send your URL to the Potomac Hills news group but there was no longer any point. I don't think that in this instance you are doing a good job of serving the community.

ReplyI had already voted before I saw this issue of Patch. It would be useful if you would distribute this sort of info every day for a week or more before the election.

ReplyWere something elaborate and 19th century-looking built, maybe more would follow and then the gas stations and 7-11s would be the ones that looked out of place. Has anyone compared downtown McLean (or Great Falls, for that matter) with downtown Greenwich, Connecticut?

On the article Speak Out: Should First-Time Drunken Drivers Have Ignition Locking Device?
John Varela
1:13 pm on Friday, April 13, 2012
ReplyBringing the hammer down on a first offender who is only one or two hundredths of a percent above the limit seems harsh. The ignition device ought to be required only for second offenders or first offenders with blood alcohol above some higher threshhold, such as 0.10%.

ReplyI think that Falls Church's lawyers, who advised the city to let the courts decide, are going to earn a lot of fees.

There is a map provided with the story but the location of the development isn't marked on the map so the map is useless. That is typical of all the maps included in Patch stories.
