Cause of Death of McLean Student at Syracuse U. Could Take Weeks

Courtenay Nash found in her dorm room Friday

The Medical Examiner's office in Syracuse, NY, said today it could take up to a month  to determine what caused the death of a young McLean resident found in her Syracuse University dorm room Friday.

Her autopsy has been completed, but samples were sent for toxicology tests, a process that could take up a month, a spokesman for the medical examiner's office said this morning.

Courtenay Nash, 18, was a resident of Dellplain Hall and first-year student in The College of Arts & Sciences, majoring in economics, according to an e-mail Syracuse University Chancellor Nancy Cantor sent announcing the Friday afternoon.

Syracuse Police said in a Friday afternoon press conference that was found dead in her dorm room around 4:30 Friday.

Police do not suspect foul play in Nash's death.
