McLean Florist Wins Chamber's Community Service Award

Chip Frederick, a McLean native

The Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce annually  honors community and business leaders for their outstanding service to McLean. Seventeen men and women, our neighbors, received awards in a recent ceremony for their amazing work. McLean Patch is profiling each winner.

McLean Community Service Award - Chip Frederick   

Chip has volunteered with the Boy Scout and Club Scouts since 1998 serving as Den Leader, Awards Club Master, at 1127 Assistant Scout Master of troop 1130 and Patrol Advisor.  He lead two patrols through the Brown sea program and continues as Merit Badge counselor of eagle badges and Assistant Scout Master.  His main program for T1130 is scouting  for food which benefits SHARE.

He also assists several chamber functions like ReinDog Parade and community events.  He also serves on the Winter Fest Parade and drives one of the two antique vehicles in it.

Chip and his wife Sonya own and operate Flowers & Plants, Etc, in downtown McLean.
