June 25 News: Eyewitness to an Accident, Major Overnight Road Closings, Governor's Brief Visit

 Accident Eyewitness. A McLean neighbor asks when will the madness stop after seeing the aftermath of a pre-dawn drunk driving accident on his block.

Traffic Alert This Week. Major overnight closings of Beltway, Dulles roads and Lewinsville Road this week.

The McLean Ear. Governor visits McLean, briefly. McLean neighbors Fred and Marlene Malek honored.

Korean War Anniversary. The Korean War began today, June 25, 1950, when the North Korean Army, in a surprised attack, crossed the 38th Parallel and invaded South Korea. The United Nations Security Council called for an immediate end to hostilities.  American units in Korea started to battle the North Koreans. The war would end in an armistice July 27, 1953.
