McLean Planning Committee.  MPC elects new officers and other actions.

Korean War Anniversary. The Korean War began today, June 25, 1950, when the North Korean Army, in a surprised attack, crossed the 38th Parallel and invaded South Korea. The United Nations Security Council called for an immediate end to hostilities.  American units in Korea started to battle the North Koreans. The war would end in an armistice July 27, 1953.
