Fairfax Police called to Incident in Langley Oaks

Some neighbors asked about the presence of police cars and helicopters in Langley Oaks yesterday afternoon. The Fairfax County Police Department gave the following account of the incident:

Police  responded to the 6500 block of Anna Maria Court in McLean shortly before 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, for the report an assault.

Officers responded and spoke with the complainant, a 20-year-old McLean man. During the preliminary investigation, officers determined that the victim had in fact been assaulted, however there appeared to be some inconsistancies in his story.

This is believed to be an isolated incident and that the victim and three teenage suspects were known to each other. The case is  still under investigation.

Langley Oaks is located just off Georgetown Pike adjacent to Langley High School.
