495 Closed Overnight in Tysons Corner This Week

Lane Closures of I-495 at Route 123, I-66

TEMPORARY TOTAL CLOSURES of up to 30 minutes on I-495 south at I-66, on I-66 east and west just before I-495, and on I-495 north at Van Dorn St, I-395, and I-66.

Multiple overnight lane and ramp closures on both directions of I-495 at Route 123 are set to continue mid-next week. At this time, closures are scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 6 through Friday, Sept. 9. All work is weather-permitting and subject to change.
 
These closures generally are expected to occur Sundays through Fridays through the end of the year. Stay tuned for daily updates on closures and possible detours.

Full Closures of Eastbound Tysons Boulevard Continue Overnights Next Week
 
Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews plan to close the eastbound lanes of Tysons Boulevard from Galleria Drive to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) overnight Tuesday, Sept. 6 through Friday, Sept. 9, for pier and station work. In addition, the turn lanes from Galleria Drive and Route 123 on to eastbound Tysons Boulevard will be closed. 
 
These closures will be in place from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. Westbound Tysons Boulevard traffic will remain open.

Other overnight (9:30pm-5am) closures connected to  Metrorail or HOT Lanes construction in the McLean/Tysons Corner area. It's truly an adventure driving through Tysons Corner at night:

• I-495 south from Old Dominion Dr. overpass to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Three left lanes closed Tuesday - Thursday nights for bridge work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Gosnell Rd. - Left turn lane closed Tuesday - Thursday nights for pier work. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at International Dr. - Two left lanes closed Tuesday - Thursday nights for tunnel work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at Tyco Rd. - Right lane closed Tuesday - Thursday nights for utility work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Westpark Dr. - Two left turn lanes closed Tuesday - Thursday nights for pier work. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at the Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) - left lane closed Tuesday - Thursday nights for utility work.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east at Spring Hill Rd. - Two left turn lanes closed Tuesday- Satruday nights for road work. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
• Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east from Westpark Dr. to Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Two left lanes closed Tuesday - Saturday nights for tunnel work.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north at Tysons Blvd. - Left turn lane closed Tuesday - Saturday nights for pier work. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south at Tysons Blvd. - Two right turn lanes closed Tuesday. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
• Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south to I-495 south - Ramp closed Tuesday - Thursday nights for cantilever construction. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
• Dolley Madison Blvd. (Route 123) north at Capital One Dr. - Two left lanes closed Tuesday - Friday night for pier and truss work.
• Westpark Dr. at Leesburg Pike (Route 7) - Road closed Tuesday - Friday nights for pier work. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
• Westpark Dr. at Jones Branch Dr. to Galleria Dr. west - Three left turn lanes closed Tuesday - Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to follow detour signs.
