Beltway Lane Closings Ahead in Tysons Corner Overnight This Week

Overnight Lane Closures on 495 Capital Beltway Continue Next Week
 
Crews will continue the bridge construction over I-495 during the night next week, weather permitting. Three right lanes of southbound I-495 will be closed from Old Dominion Drive to Route 123, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17 through Thursday, Oct. 20, and from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21. One lane of thru traffic will be allowed through this portion of the interstate.
 
Also, the three right lanes of southbound I-495 will be closed from approximately 1,500 feet north of Lewinsville Road to Route 123 on Wednesday, Oct. 19 thru Thursday, Oct. 20, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., and on Friday, Oct. 21, from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
 
Finally, the two left lanes of northbound I-495 will be closed from approximately 500 feet south of Route 7 to Route 123, on Wednesday, Oct. 19 through Thursday, Oct. 20, from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., and on Friday, Oct. 21, from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.
 
In addition, the entrance ramp from southbound Route 123 to southbound I-495 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on those nights. To access southbound I-495, traffic will be directed to continue on southbound Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road), turn right on International Drive, right on Galleria Drive, right on Tysons Boulevard, then a slight left and immediate right on to the ramp to southbound I-495.
 
Paving on Route 7 will Cause Night Closures of Westpark Drive/Gosnell Road/Tyco Road
 
Construction crews will be restoring pavement on both directions of Leesburg Pike (Route 7) at the intersection of Westpark Drive/Gosnell Road beginning Sunday night, Oct. 16.
 
Noise warning: Every effort will be made to minimize the noise associated with this work. However, paving is an extremely dangerous activity, particularly at night, and will require the full use of backup alarms to ensure workers' safety.

I-495 south to Exit 45B, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for bridge overhang work. Traffic will be directed to continue south to Exit 46B, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and follow signs to Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) east.

I-495 north to Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to continue north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south, and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west.

Dulles International Airport Access Hwy. west at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights for overhang work. Traffic will be directed to Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) west. Motorists will not be tolled.

Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights for bridge painting. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike (Route 193) west, stay to the left, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 45A, Dulles Connector Rd. (Route 267) west. 

Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) north and south to I-495 north - Ramps closed Monday and Tuesday nights for overhead sign work. Traffic will be directed to take International Dr. south, make a left onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and follow signs to I-495 north.

I-495 south to Exit 47B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west, stay to the left, make a U-turn at International Dr. onto Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east.

Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west to I-495 south - Ramp closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right and follow signs to I-495 south.

Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west at I-495 - Road closed Monday - Thursday nights for steel beam erection. Traffic will be directed to take I-495 north to Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 south and take Exit 47A, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east.
Leesburg Pike (Route 7) east and west at I-495 - Left lane closed Thursday night for Steel beam erection.
