Heavy rain has caused the cancellation of plans for major lane closing on the Beltway and I-66 tonight.
The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project had scheduled the overnight closings for construction of the Silver Line. Parts of the Silver Line track are under construction above the Beltway in Tysons Corner and above I-66 at the West Falls Church Metro station.
The lane closings which started Monday cause major backups even in the overnight hours.
