Aerial bridges that will carry tracks for the new Silver Line  over the Capital Beltway (I-495) at Route 123  are under construction.  This work requires closing the three right lanes of northbound I-495 from 11pm-5am.  In addition, the exit ramps from northbound I-495 to both northbound and southbound Route 123 will be closed.

The  lane-shutdowns begin at  9:30 p.m., as follows: 9:30pm-10pm - Crews will begin tapering for the closing of the right lane on I-495 North about a half mile before the Route 7 exit. The exit ramps at Route 7 will not be affected by rail project construction closings.
10:30 pm - Crews will begin to close the second right lane near the Route 7 bridge, and the third lane will close prior to the Route 123 interchange. The ramps to/from Route 123 also will close at this time.

All lanes and exits to Route 123 will be reopened to thru traffic by 5 a.m.These closings will continue nightly Sundays through Fridays for the next several weeks.
