This week's list of traffic turmoil caused by the dual construction of the Metro and the express toll lanes in Tysons Corner.

I-495 north and south near underpass to Exit 46, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Three lanes closed Monday- Saturday nights for painting, paving and traffic shift. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.

Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east from Spring Hill Road to I-495 - Four lanes closed Monday- Wednesday nights for bridge work. Expect intermittent full road closures of up to 30 minutes after midnight.

Dulles Toll Rd. (Route 267) east to I-495 north – Ramp closed Monday- Friday nights for bridge work. Traffic will be directed to continue east to exit onto Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, stay to the right, follow signs to I-495 north.

I-495 south to Exit 47A & B, Leesburg Pike (Route 7) west and east - Ramps closed Monday-Friday nights for paving. Prior to work zone, traffic will be directed to take Exit 46A, Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south, make a left onto International Dr. south and follow signs to Leesburg Pike (Route 7).

Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) south from Westpark Dr. overpass to Tysons Blvd – Right lanes closed Monday - Thursday nights for utility work.

Westpark Dr. overpass at Chain Bridge Rd. (Route 123) - Bridge closed Monday- Friday nights for concrete work. Traffic will be directed to International Drive to Chain Bridge Road (Route 123).

Delivery of Traction Power Substation to Location West of Tyco Road May Affect Traffic on Route 7 Eastbound Next Week
 
Heavy haul transporters will be delivering six components of a traction power substation to their final location along eastbound Leesburg Pike (Route 7), just west of Tyco Road, on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 15-16. The crane that will lift the components into place will be delivered on Monday, May 14. All deliveries will take place following morning rush hour and the trucks will pull into the construction site prior to unloading. No lane closures will be required.
 
Left Turns from Eastbound Route 7 on to Spring Hill Road Closed Overnights
 
Crews will implement the closure of left turn lanes from eastbound Leesburg Pike (Route 7) on to northbound Spring Hill Road between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 17, and 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday, May 18 to allow for precast concrete installation at Tysons West Station.
 
Detour: To access northbound Spring Hill Road from eastbound Route 7, continue on Route 7, U-turn at Westpark Drive or International Drive, then follow westbound Route 7.
 
Intersection of Route 7 and Westwood Center Drive/Tyco Road to Close Overnights
 
Acoustical panel installation will cause the intersection of westbound Route 7 and Westwood Center Drive/Tyco Road to close nightly on Monday, May 14 through Thursday, May 17 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Friday, May 18, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Southbound Tyco Road thru traffic and motorists wanting to turn left on to eastbound Leesburg Pike will need to turn right onto westbound Route 7, U-turn at Jarrett Valley Drive, and continue on eastbound Route 7 to access Westwood Center Drive.
Northbound Westwood Center Drive thru traffic and motorists wanting to turn left on to westbound Leesburg Pike will need to turn right on to eastbound Leesburg Pike, U-turn at Westpark Drive or International Drive, and follow westbound Route 7 to access Tyco Road.
Eastbound Tysons Boulevard Thru Lanes to Close Overnights Monday through Saturday
 
Eastbound Tysons Boulevard thru lanes will be closed between Route 123 and Galleria Drive overnights Monday, May 14 through Saturday, May 19 to allow for utility work in the area.
 
This also will require the closures of the turn lanes on to Tysons Boulevard from northbound and southbound Chain Bridge Road (Route 123), and northbound and southbound Galleria Drive. Generally, these lane closures will begin to be implemented at 11 p.m., and will be lifted around 5 a.m. the following morning.
 
Detours around this closure will be in place. Please use extreme caution, pay attention to signage, and obey police direction if traveling around this intersection.
 
Overnight Lane Closures Near Capital One Entrance Monday and Tuesday
 
Crews will be working on storm drainage across southbound Dolley Madison Boulevard (Route 123), which will require closing thru lanes overnights Monday, May 14 and Tuesday, May 15. The schedule for the closures is as follows:
10 p.m. to 1 a.m. - Right and center thru lanes of Route 123 closed between Scotts Crossing Road and Capital One Drive.
1 a.m. to 5 a.m. - Left and center thru lanes closed in the same area.
Capital One Entrance to Close Overnights Thursday through Saturday
 
The main entrance of the Capital One campus in McLean will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Thursday, May 17 through Saturday, May 19 for utility work. To access the Capital One campus, use the alternate entrance via Scotts Crossing Road.
