Where to find Fairfax Election Results

McLean Patch, of course, is your first stop

Now that you've voted, here's where you can find the election returns.

Unofficial Fairfax County election returns  will be posted on the Fairfax County website and available on Fairfax County Government Cable Channel 16. For complete district and statewide unofficial returns, go to the Virginia State Board of Elections

The Fairfax County Electoral Board expects that unofficial election returns may take longer than usual this year due to the complexity of this year’s election in Fairfax County: there are 76 different ballot styles, 99 candidates and a school bond referendum.

Election staff will be manually inputting the unofficial results data into the Statewide Election Management System and into a countywide spreadsheet that will be exported to the county website. Returns are expected to be updated every hour throughout the night as the county’s 239 precincts report in after the polls close at 7 p.m.

Who's up for election today: The entire Virginia General Assembly. The entire Fairfax Board of Supervisors. The entire Fairfax School Board.
